Kickstarted: This more affordable Watch link bracelet looks great

HyperLink, a brand new Kickstarter project that launched a matter of hours ago, is looking to bring owners of Cupertino’s Apple Watch a more affordable stainless steel link bracelet.

As we all know, Apple’s own Link Bracelet, though impressive in terms of aesthetics and design, carries a mighty high price tag of $449 (plus an additional fee of $49, if you’re one of the many who require Apple’s Link Bracelet Kit, too). HyperLink, on the other hand, is offering owners of the Watch a stainless steel bracelet that looks truly beautiful, but for a fraction — and we really do mean fraction — of the price.

In fact, as of this writing, Kickstarter users can still score a HyperLink bracelet for a mere $49 — the price of a Sport Band!

The good news for would-be backers is that a range of options are available, if this early bird offering sells out. The next increment offers backers a HyperLink bracelet for $59, with the regular retail price estimated to lie somewhere in the region of $99. Of course, even this fee is still less than a quarter of the price of Apple’s own Link Bracelet.

True, HyperLink isn’t a replica of Apple’s offering, and as such it doesn’t look the same; however, judging by the images available on Kickstarter, it nevertheless looks like a fine, fine piece of craftsmanship.

HyperLink is available in three options: a silver stainless steel bracelet for the 42mm and 38mm Apple Watches, and a Space Black bracelet for the 42mm Apple Watch only.
