The Chief Executive looked into several subjects, including corporate taxes, encryption technology and manufacturing in China.
This article will focus on what Cook shared about Apple’s future.
60 Minutes had the privilege of being invited to Apple’s under-construction corporate headquarters, which anchor Charlie Rose described as “the company’s biggest project ever...Wider than the Pentagon.”
According to Cook, about 35,000 people are working there right now, on what people are commonly calling “the spaceship.”
Completion of the eco-friendly, self-supporting, off-the grid project is expected for 2016.

“We are going to have about 13,000 people that are working in this circle, and it’s going to be a center for innovation for generations to come,” the Chief Executive assured.
Is it true that this (“the spaceship”) is a $5 billion project?
Well, “it’s somewhere near there,” Cook declared. “We think it is so important to have a place that inspires you,” he added.
“At the core of Apple, is this capacity to think about everything,” Rose reflected at one point in the show.
And, “this goes down to...the desk, the chair, the stairwell, the doorknob, the glass... I mean, every single thing,” Cook added.
Steve Jobs’ “DNA” still lives in the company.
“You have to believe that, that the values he had, that the massive... insane search for perfection is with the people that worked alongside him," Rose concluded.
