Report Claims 4-inch iPhone 5se, iPad Air 3 Launch on March 15

Apple CEO Tim Cook at a 2014 media eventApple is reportedly planning on introducing a new 4-inch iPhone along with the iPad Air 3 on March 15th. The company also plans to introduce new Apple Watch bands at the same media event—an event that so far hasn't been announced or confirmed.

Word of the product launch media event comes courtesy of unnamed sources speaking with 9to5 Mac. They're also saying Apple could move the date, or change the event to online announcements, which is a pretty big hint that this is far from a sure thing.

The new iPhone model Apple is said to be announcing goes back to the smaller 4-inch display form factor that's mostly an updated iPhone 5s with an A9 processor, improved cameras, and Apple Pay support.

Apple's rumored iPad Air 3 will stick with the 9.7-inch display size, and will essentially be an iPad Pro packed into a smaller case. It's said to include the same Smart Connector magnetic port, improved speakers, Apple Pencil support, and a new feature for iPads: a rear-facing LED flash.

The company will reportedly unveil new Apple Watch bands at the event, too. Assuming the sources are right, we'll see new sport band colors, a Space Black Milanese Loop band, new Hermés bands, and a new band style.

Media invitations for product launches typically don't go out until much closer to the event, so don't expect to see an official confirmation until early March. That's assuming, of course, the event is happening.
