Major channel player becomes Apple reseller

Stott Hoare has increased its line-up of high-profile vendor relationships by partnering with Apple.

The Perth-based IT solutions provider already has partnerships with Microsoft, IBM, HP, Cisco Systems, Lenovo, Dell, EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, VMware, Samsung, Acer, Symantec, Toshiba and Panasonic, according to its website.

Stott Hoare managing director Jim Loader said the Apple partnership would bring significant benefits for the company.

“Stott Hoare has always focused on building effective partnerships with tier-one vendors and we are excited by the prospect of working with one of the world’s largest and most innovative brands,” he said.

“It’s particularly important for me that the partnership will include membership of the Apple Consultants Network as an extension of our technical capabilities – it’s another demonstration of our commitment to working with our customers to deliver outstanding solutions that really meet their specific business challenges.”

Stott Hoare’s client base includes corporate, government and education customers.

Other Apple resellers have had less happy news to report in the past six months, with Dick Smith collapsing and Vita Group closing its Next Byte stores.
