Apple's new 12" MacBook gets day-one software update for Bluetooth compatibility

Just moments after the new 12-inch MacBook with Retina display was announced, Apple issued a software update for the refreshed notebook, addressing compatbility with third-party Bluetooth devices.
The Bluetooth update for early 2016 MacBook is now available to download direct from Apple. Apple says it improves compatibility with third-party Bluetooth accessories, and it is recommended that all users install.
The update requires an early 2016 MacBook running OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 or later. It's a 157.8-megabyte download.
The new 12-inch MacBook features Intel's latest Skylake mobile processors, along with improved graphics and faster flash storage. Apple has also begun selling a rose gold model, and boosted battery life by an hour.
The 12-inch MacBook features Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, as well as 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
The base configuration with a 1.1-gigahertz dual-core Intel Core m3 processor, 8 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of flash storage starts at $1,299. The new MacBooks are available to purchase starting today through Apple's website, and will be available to order at Apple Authorized Resellers and Apple's own retail stores beginning Wednesday.

I'm assuming this is meant to address the current third party bluetooth device connectivity issues folks are seeing with the latest stack on 9.3.1 on iOS devices, which itself should be addressed with the next iOS update. Nothing to see here.
Whatever..... what the MacBook needs is at least a Thunderbolt port, and perhaps a USB3 port.
