Every year, a group of intrepid driver-testers take to the highways and backroads of the U.S. to see which of the top-four carriers—AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon—deliver the fastest service. In this month's Digital Edition, our cover story is "Fastest Mobile Networks 2016." Find out all about our results (the national winner, regional, and city winners), how we test, the unique strengths of each carrier, and even the cars we drove this year. If you're thinking of changing services, or you just want to see how well your current choice stacks up, you'll find out in this story.

While some of us drove around the U.S., others flew to Taipei for Computex 2016. In the August issue, we show off some the coolest products we found at the show, including Intel's most powerful processor ever: the Core i7-6950X Extreme Edition, a "10-core, 20-thread monster."

As for reviews, we feature the Nikon D500 SLR (our reviewer says, "I don't think there's a perfect camera, but the Nikon D500 comes close."). Also reviewed are the extra-snazzy Misfit Ray fitness tracker; the rugged yet refined Samsung Galaxy S7 Active smart phone; and the Editors'-Choice-winning Razer Blade ultraportable laptop made for gaming, among other cool products.

All this, plus thought-provoking opinion columns, tips for leading the Digital Life, and no ads! Download the July issue of the PC Magazine Digital Edition today.

About Carol Mangis

Managing Editor

My first editorial job (as a nascent copy editor) was at PC Magazine. I started working here in 1997, when print was huge (as was the magazine itself), personal computers were well on the way to becoming mainstream, smartphones didn’t exist, and floppy disks were de rigueur. I worked up to Senior Editor, then left in 2010 for Consumer Reports to work for its electronics team. After spending one lost year in marketing, I happily returned to PCMag in 2016 to edit and produce the PCMag Digital Edition, which I’m still doing today, along with various other projects as they arise.
