14 DAY TRIAL // COO Kevin Turner has decided to leave Microsoft after 11 years within the company, and this has made some employees extremely happy, mostly because the executive wasn’t quite the type of friendly boss.
But many employees using the Blind anonymous messaging app feel like somebody else needs to go, and they’ve nominated none other than Windows boss Terry Myerson.
In messages posted online and spotted by BI, the Microsofties claim that the company needs another leadership change, even though Myerson was appointed head of the Windows and Device Group in 2015, when this division was actually formed. He was named executive vice president of Microsoft’s new operating systems engineering division in July 2013.

But this doesn’t mean anything for Microsoft employees who think that Myerson needs to leave the company in order to make 2016 “the best year ever.”
Terry Myerson is currently one of the highest-ranked executives after CEO Satya Nadella and is very unlikely to depart from the company anytime soon. But this hasn’t stopped some Softies from posting messages like the ones below:
“Happy!!! Now we need Terry to go and it will be the best year ever.” “Can we do a buy one get one offer? Terry comes free with KT?”
Terry Myerson was promoted as head of the WDG team in order to repair the damages caused by Stephen Elop, Microsoft’s Trojan horse who was previously CEO of Nokia and rejoined the software giant as head of the Microsoft Devices Group unit.
Redmond combined the OSG and MDG teams to form the Windows and Devices Group, giving Terry Myerson the chance to become one of the leaders of the “new Microsoft,” as the company transforms from a software firm to a mobile first, cloud first giant with the focus not only on software but also on services and devices.
