Much has been made of Apple's rumoured decision to remove the headphone jack from the iPhone 7, and now it seems we might not even get stereo speakers to replace it.

Last week, a report from Bloomberg suggested the jack is definitely no more, and previously leaked images of the model have seemed to show two sets of speaker holes on the bottom of the model, perhaps to compensate.

However, alleged design schematics released on Nowhereelse.fr (via Mashable) seem to put an end to those rumours of a secondary speaker.

If the designs are proven to be accurate, the iPhone 7 will be like every other iPhone to date and not boast stereo speakers. Instead, it could just have the usual single downward-facing speaker.

Earlier this month, we were given potentially the most accurate look yet at the upcoming flagship, with the new handset not expected to offer an aesthetic overhaul until 2017.

Whether it has stereo speakers or not, Apple is reportedly working on a dual-lens camera setup for this year's model and an all-new home button.
