It looks like Apple Pay’s next stop is Chick-fil-A, the U.S. restaurant chain which has experimented with QR code-powered methods of mobile payment in the past, according to a recent Twitter update from the company.

In a tweet from the Chick-fil-A account (@ChickfilA) published on Aug. 17, a representative for the company confirmed to a customer that Apple Pay (and Android Pay) support is indeed coming this Friday, Aug. 19, for both in-restaurant and Drive Thru meal purchases. Before now, Apple Pay has worked sporadically in Chick-fil-A, and although the restaurant chain was indeed set to offer Apple Pay as a payment option last year, this never came to fruition.

Instead, the company experimented with QR code-based methods of mobile payment, which, as is generally the case, failed.

It could be you can already use Apple Pay at your local Chick-fil-A; as 9to5mac observes, some customers have already met with success when attempting to make purchases using their iPhones and Apple Watches. The full rollout, however, is due to be completed this Friday.
