HP selects Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online to transform sales and partner engagement

Hewlett Packard (HP) has selected the Microsoft Dynamics platform to enhance sales and marketing operations across the company in a six-year deal. Microsoft will distribute its enterprise software, including Dynamics, Azure, Office 365 and other Microsoft Cloud solutions as part of the deal.

In a Microsoft News post, Jon Flaxman, Chief Operating Officer of HP stated, “We have chosen Microsoft Dynamics as our CRM solution for our direct selling, partners and services.” He added, "This brings us a cloud-based solution that delivers a more effective and efficient collaboration engine across our business.”

Microsoft's Dynamics suite includes customer relationship management (CRM) software, which "enables companies to market smarter, sell effectively and productively, and care everywhere. We provide social insights, business intelligence." Its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions "connect and manage your entire business, from financial and supply chain management and from manufacturing to operations."

In the same post, Judson Althoff, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Commercial Business at Microsoft said, “We share this dedication to digital transformation with HP and are incredibly proud to work with it as it delivers amazing technology experiences to people around the globe.”

Dynamics CRM 2016 was rolled out in November of 2015 and Microsoft unveiled plans to introduce Microsoft Dynamics 365 this past July, which would "[evolve] its current CRM and ERP cloud solutions into one cloud service with new purpose-built apps to help manage specific business functions."

Dynamics, Azure and Office 365 all saw financial growth in Microsoft's Q4 2016 earnings report. Dynamics gained around 2.5 times as many paid seats year-over-year (YoY), Azure revenue increased by 102 percent and Office 365 hit 23 million users.

In 2015, Microsoft and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) had also formed a partnership, which aimed "to provide cloud, productivity and mobility solutions to shared enterprise customers." Per the collaboration, HPE would implement consulting services for Windows 10 as well as for cloud and mobility services into its business practices.
