NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TIAA, a leading financial services provider, today announced an enhanced app developed for Apple and Android smartwatches that provides users with up-to-date account information at the tap of the wrist. The watch app became available to customers in May 2016 and is compatible with watchOS 3 and the Apple Watch Series 2, which was announced Sept 7.
With improved functionality, the app provides quick and easy access to total account balances across retirement savings, retirement healthcare, brokerage, bank, trust, mutual funds, life insurance, immediate annuities, after-tax annuities and assets held outside of TIAA.1
“Providing universal access for our customers is one of our top priorities,” said Scott Blandford, executive vice president and chief digital officer at TIAA. “Investing in mobile and wearable technologies helps ensure that our customers can stay connected to their financial picture anytime or anywhere.”
The watch app is available for all Android Wear devices and Apple Watches running watchOS 2 or higher and automatically downloads to a TIAA customer’s Apple or Android watch. For more information on TIAA’s mobile apps, visit tiaa.org/public/support/mobile-apps.
