Microsoft might be selling off its feature phone division, but that hasn’t stopped the company from announcing the Nokia 216 dumb phone.
In fact, since Foxconn is expected to buy the Nokia feature phone business from Microsoft by the end of the year, this could be the last Nokia phone Microsoft ever sells.
And as far as dumb phones go, this one is pretty basic. It has a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, a 0.3 Megapixel camera on the front and back (so you can take selfies, but terrible selfies), and is only 2.5G. It comes in single and dual-SIM varieties and three colors. It’s all very 2004.
But even though it’s a dumb phone, it does have Facebook and the Opera Mini web browser. The part that makes me jealous, though, is the battery life. Standby time is an impressive 24 DAYS and it has 18 hours of talk time and 47 hours of audio playback.
There’s no word on pricing, but if it’s anything like Microsoft’s feature phone from 2015, the price could be really attractive.
