Concept Images Envision What A Foldable iPhone X Would Look Like

Now that the Galaxy Fold is all official after Samsung announced it this week, it’s clear that the foldable phone is still a way from becoming mainstream. That $2000 price tag will make sure of that, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t going to see a clamor for Apple to do something similar. It also means we’re going to start to see concept images for a foldable iPhone, like these.

Whether or not you think the Galaxy Fold will be a success or just another bright idea that nobody really wants, this concept made available by Foldable News and industrial designer Roy Gilsing is certainly a looker. While gorgeous to look at, it’s clear that little thought has been put into how such a thing could be made into a real, physical, and importantly, shipping product.

But that’s fine, because for now, we’re just happy to take a look at these ideas and imagine would could be, if Apple went the foldable route. We find it difficult to imagine that Apple isn’t, or hasn’t already considered such a foldable phone but given the sheer number of projects Apple must kill yearly, it isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that it’s been canned already.

Also, it’s impossible to not look at this concept and imagine the Nokia Communicator that we all lusted over back in the late 1990s. We know we wanted one, despite that small, green screen. It even had its own antenna that popped out!

What about you? Would you be willing to spend big bucks on a foldable iPhone, or for that matter, any other foldable device?
