Easy-to-Use Newton Calendar Launches, Companion App to Newton Mail

Getting Stuff Done
December 12, 2017

If you’re a fan of Newton Mail for iOS, there’s a new app for you to try. Newton Calendar acts as a companion app for the original and is available now in the App Store.

Designed to be lightweight, Newton Calendar focuses on a weekly Schedule View where you’ll find upcoming appointments and your free time. Adding an event is as simple as tapping on the date, typing the time and event title, and hitting the “Done” button.

Creating an Event

For now, Newton Calendar only supports Google and Exchange calendars, although they expect to add iCloud support “as soon” as they can.

Features include:

  • No more long “sequential forms” for adding events. Add location, people and other details with ease in any order.
  • It’s optimized to work well when on the move. E.g notify the organizer when you’re running late for a meeting or if you cannot make it; with just a tap.
  • Reliable notifications and actions ensure that you don’t miss out on anything.
  • Access multiple calendars in one place. Manage any number of Gmail, Google Apps, and Exchange (EWS) calendars.

Many of today’s most popular calendar apps are useful but increasingly bloated. Newton Calendar could have staying power — assuming it adds iCloud support soon.

Newton Calendar and Newton Mail are both available in the App Store.
