U.S. stocks rose, giving the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index its longest rally since December 2010, amid speculation the Federal Reserve will step in with additional stimulus measures.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index added 0.2 percent to 1,405.87, erasing an earlier decline of 0.5 percent following a worse-than-expected Chinese trade report that intensified concern global economic growth is slowing.
