Air Force to buy computers from Hewlett-Packard

Hewlett-Packard has won a contract with the Air Force to provide business PCs and workstations as part of its enterprise IT purchase program, according to FedScoop and the Washington Business Journal.

The program is part of the USAF Client, Computing and Servers Quantum Enterprise Buy. This will add to the one million units of HP products the Air Force has deployed throughout the United States, Europe and Asia the past seven years.

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton is the largest single site employer in Ohio, with more than 27,000 workers, and a $4.5 billion impact on the Dayton region.
