Veditor Review

Want to add some fancy filters, stickers, and images to your videos? Not fussed about anything too complicated? Then Veditor might be exactly what you want.

Taking you step by step through the process, you can choose to a record a video directly from within the app or import an existing one. Veditor will even let you download one from your Facebook, Keek, or Instagram accounts. The built-in recording option is a bit simplistic so I’d suggest recording a video with something else, then importing to Veditor.

Once you have a video open, you can then choose to add text, images, music, and filters to what’s there and the package feels more useful. In each case, it’s simple enough to do. You can include different fonts or font colors, add stickers such as a reminder to follow you on Instagram, as well as include your own images from your Camera Roll.

More attractively, you can add various music pieces and sound effects to your creations. Veditor offers a fairly extensive selection of music, as well as the ability to import your own music tracks. Applying filters is just as simple too, although I found on the iPhone 5, it was a bit slow to do so. Some filters are a bit superfluous but there’s always black and white to fall back on, and add a touch of class to what you record. Once you’ve finished up, it’s simple enough to upload your creations to numerous different social networks, including Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

Being able to download videos direct from these social networking accounts is a handy addition to an otherwise fairly typical if convenient video editing package. Veditor lacks the style that makes it an eye catching app, remaining quite functional in appearance. It’s also not powerful enough to allow you to trim or edit individual frames, like in the case of more technically minded apps.

However, for those who regularly upload content to social networks, Veditor covers most of the important bases and has those all-important extra sound effects to appeal.
