"I had the same problem as Feliks reported on 5 December. After updating to Safari 3.2.1 via Software Update on my 12 PB G4 (1GHz, 1.25GB RAM, OS X 10.4.11), every session resulted in a pegged CPU, pages that would not load, and an inability to cleanly quit the program. A temporary workaround was to disable JavaScript (Safari isn't my default browser so I didn't fully address it until I had a little free time). I now appear to have resolved the issue more permanently: the steps I took were to reinstall Safari 3.2.1 (using a full installer from Apple), repair disk permissions, and clean out cache system and user files (via AppleJack at boot time)." "My machine went in for repair and had its logic board replaced. Anybody who has had this happen, or who has bought a new machine, has probably discovered that Time Machine won't talk to their old Time Machine backups. "So I can't remember exactly when this particular problem started, but in a bizarre fashion Mail will throw up its hands in protest and refuse to send my mail at certain periods. When this issue occurs I'll see the progress dial spinning in my Outbox for about three-five minutes, and then Mail will pop up with the message saying for whatever reason that it can't send the message. To fix it, I click 'Edit Message' and then immediately click Send. Every time, after I do this, it flawlessly works. I should also mention that I rarely, if ever, have problems receiving messages."
